Woodlands Prep Students Selected for International U-16 Tournaments in France and the U.S.

The Woodlands Preparatory School proudly celebrates the achievement of two of its outstanding student-athletes, Lucas Silva and Fernando Ruiz, who have been officially selected to represent Mexico at the U-16 level in two prestigious international competitions.

Both players will compete in the Montaigu Tournament 2026 in France, one of the most recognized youth football tournaments in the world, known for showcasing future professional and international stars. In addition, they will participate in the Vertex Cup International Tournament in Miami, Florida, further expanding their exposure on the global stage.

These selections are not only a testament to their talent on the field, but also to their discipline, consistency, and commitment—qualities that define high-performance student-athletes.

At The Woodlands Preparatory School, we believe that education must adapt to the ambitions of each student. For athletes pursuing elite-level competition, having access to a flexible, globally oriented academic model is essential. Our programs are designed to support students who strive for excellence both academically and athletically, allowing them to pursue international opportunities without compromising their education.

Lucas Silva and Fernando Ruiz represent what is possible when talent meets the right academic environment. Their journey reflects a new generation of students who are not limited by borders, but empowered by them.

We congratulate them on this important milestone and proudly stand behind them as they represent Mexico on the international stage.

Their story continues to inspire our community and reinforces our commitment to developing globally competitive students.
