ACHIEVE YOUR ATHLETIC DREAMS
Achieve greatness through perseverance
Achieve greatness through perseverance
The Online High School for High Performance Athletes is a unique high school study program that represents support for students who perform a high-performance sport and who need to have more hours a day to dedicate themselves to the constant practice of it. At the same time, give them a tool that allows them to obtain an officially valid certification issued by the educational system of the United States of America, the High School Diploma, equivalent to Preparatory School in Mexico, through The Woodlands Preparatory School.
How is this program carried out?
Students enroll in six subjects annually, engaging in weekly one-hour group counseling sessions per subject, all conducted online.
This streamlined approach requires just six hours per week online, allowing students ample time for sports training without compromising academic studies.
Compared to traditional schooling, which demands 36 weekly hours for academics, our program offers a significant advantage with only approximately 18 hours needed.
Our educators, seasoned specialists in online teaching, utilize platforms like Google Classroom to provide weekly readings and videos, ensuring continuous access for student consultation.
Academic progress is assessed through weekly assignments and projects, fostering a creative learning environment aimed at achieving a minimum grade of 8.0 across all subjects—a requirement by Cognia for North American certification.
Upon graduation, students receive a recognized "High School Diploma" from The Woodlands Preparatory School, validating their enrollment in the U.S. educational system.
Can only students who are currently in high school be part of the Online High School for High Performance Athletes?
Yes, at the moment this program is only for students in high school grades. This program does not include secondary school students or high school graduates. Students must have already completed their third year of high school.
Is the High School Diploma officially valid in Mexico?
The "High School Diploma" is valid throughout North American territory, without the need for additional validation procedures. However, in Mexico, a study homologation process must be followed through the SEP that The Woodlands Preparatory School can offer to students for an extra cost. Once this procedure is completed, students obtain the SEP high school certificate.
How long does it take for a student to complete the Online Preparation for High Performance Athletes?
This program is calculated to be completed in a total of three modules, courseable in three school cycles, each lasting 36 weeks.
This modality provides a time of 18 hours per week, six of them in consultations with the teachers of each subject and twelve to be able to individually study the mandatory contents contemplated in the study program, at a moderate pace and at the times that the student decides, as long as the student complies with the evaluation processes within the times set for this purpose.
The program is divided into three school grades 10th, 11th and 12th, equivalent to the first, second and third of preparatory education divided as follows:

They must also have an internet with a minimum bandwidth of 1 Gbps. All other materials will be provided online by teachers in each of the stages of the Sports Program.
What advantages does obtaining the High School Diploma offer?
Obtaining the High School Diploma issued by the North American system gives students several competitive advantages, including:
-
Access to study a university degree in the United States from a remote location but participating as a local student.
-
In addition, the High School Diploma is officially valid at any university in the world, carrying out local revalidation processes according to the regulations of the country where you want to enter the university.
-
Graduation of the Sports Program in person in the magnificent city of The Woodlands Texas, a city surrounded by lakes and beautiful forests and classified within the United States as the best place to live. (This graduation modality requires a valid Visa from the American government and includes additional costs).
-
The Woodlands Preparatory School has a High School Diploma revalidation service before the SEP. This procedure carries an extra cost, but allows the student to obtain their Mexican high school certificate to be able to continue their university studies in national territory.
This model represents, for all these reasons, an educational innovation that truly gives athletes a competitive tool for their professional development.
The admission process for the Athlete Program is through the Gradelink platform.
Students interested in this program can access this platform through the Online Prep for High Performance Athletes link located on our WEB page.
Each of the steps to follow are clearly indicated through emails that will be received by parents and students, in order to successfully complete the admission process.

Economic proposal
The costs of the program are quite affordable due to the inter-institutional agreement that we would be able to establish with the FMF. The school benefits from a minimum number of 200 enrolled students in exchange for preferential rates throughout the school year:
Note: This rate may be reduced if the number enrolled in the program exceeds 200 students.
Graduate Profile
The graduation profile of our students goes hand in hand with their sports objectives since they will study subjects that require them to have constant effort and discipline to solve complex problems, such as mathematics, algebra, geometry and trigonometry. This neurologically connects them with their performance in sport, increasing and improving their performance and being educated to face the pressures of high performance.
Thus, our graduates also acquire knowledge regarding the sports industry whose management is complex, studying subjects related to the enormous challenges that this implies. Our students will therefore be prepared at an early age to solve them.
