Student Stories
Senior, Class of 2010: Kenneth Misner has attended Woodlands Prep since the fall of 2008. He loves learning new things and particularly enjoys mathematics. Kenneth is currently the Vice President of the Student Council as well as a member of the National Honor Society. He enjoys giving back to the community and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2009. Kenneth is also an avid musician; in his spare time he enjoys playing the piano and saxophone. He is also a member of The Woodlands Chorale, a local community chorus, and the A Cappella Choir at The Woodlands United Methodist Church. In college, Kenneth plans to pursue a degree in business.
Senior, Class of 2010: Melissa Medina has attended Woodlands Prep for two years. Melissa enjoys drawing, painting, listening to music, and reading modern and British literature. Melissa’s goals for the future incorporate going to study in London, England and eventually opening her own fashion boutiques around the world. Melissa is happy at Woodlands Prep because of the TEACHERS! Melissa states that, “the teachers are amazing… they really make sure you learn everything. They are all very caring and I love how they cheer you on!”
Senior, Class of 2010: Kathryn Wiley has been at Woodlands Prep since the beginning of junior year. She has enjoyed being on the varsity swimming and basketball, acting as yearbook editor and leading as the president of the National Honor Society. Kathryn’s goal is to obtain both a bachelors and masters degree in psychology. Kathryn believes that coming to Woodlands Prep to finish high school is one of the best decisions she has ever made. Kathryn stated, “ the small environment with friendly people, wonderful teachers, and amazing opportunities have made my last two years of high school one of the most worthwhile experiences of my life”.
