Middle School Academics
The Middle School consists of grades six through eight. During these formative years emphasis is placed on the core curriculum in mathematics, science, and English while developing the students' higher order thinking skills. Additional courses in social studies, foreign languages, fine arts, physical education, robotics, and other extracurricular activities provide a wide range of learning experiences for the Middle School students.
Off-campus opportunities for field trips as well as week-long class trips are available to enhance the students' classroom experiences. The class trips give the students opportunities to learn outside the walls of the classroom as they experience different areas of the country. The trips also allow students to bond with their fellow classmates and teachers.
Character education and community service are also integrated into the Middle School. Students can qualify for the Middle School National Honor Society, which requires both high academic achievement standards and promotes exemplary behavior along with opportunities for community service. The Middle School Student Council also provides venues for Middle School students to exercise leadership roles and serve on additional service projects.
